Much of what is presented online as HD is a distortion … Mind Candy
lol I found this comic on Sjef’s blog
https://www.mcha.nl/2021/03/01/mind-candy-for-the-mentally-obese-and-those-that-love-them
as I was wandering a thread that was essentially attempting to illuminate (again) why Karen Curry Parker’s work is not HD - it’s nearly the antithesis in many ways actually.
[The biggest challenge imho is that she speaks only to the ways one can “improve” (undefined ego) in a “hurry” (undefined root) and seeks to soothe the Mind while continuing to make decisions with it vs letting the body lead … there’s more that contradicts and would honestly just warrant a system name change to make everyone’s study easier. Instead, there’s a lot of flotsam online to wade through (from not just her direction, this is just today’s example), claiming to be Human Design that misses the mark to varying degrees 🤷🏻♀️. Laetitia’s keynote in image 2 is the mechanical grain of salt to take her in with I think - it always matters/makes a difference what lens people are seeing through eh? the chart is KCP’s]
Here’s the thread I wandered there from -

It’s very long and filled with different ‘opinions’ about what’s worth listening to and what isn’t (is my take). Which is hilarious given the topic.
HD is not about opinions and discovering what’s correct for ourselves “because so and so said” - it’s about mechanics and seeing them ‘at work’ relative to our own wiring (Sjef may read this and, I find myself hoping this truncated version passes his sniff test 😅 🤓)
Much work that professes to BE Human Design largely skips mechanics… which in a way, makes it a ham sandwich without the ham. Or some other useful “the meat is missing” analogy.
Anyway, I thought this cartoon was pretty funny 😄.
It’s basically my piece of candy/reward at the end of a very long rabbit hole.
And a great reminder that people can only hear what they can hear. Nothing to prove. And certainly can be a recipe for bitterness and squandering of our energy any given day, without an invitation (ie. ears that at least ‘think’ they’re ready to hear).
Here’s the comic with the punchline.
You’re welcome. 🥳
