Whelp. Thanks to @Bodyvoice’s continued sung praises (yesterday’s zoom share was the clincher) and experimenting with the “body battery” feature of her Garmin (smartwatch) and after hours of research and emotional waveing on the different kinds and even the actual decision to hit the “place order” button - I have my own Garmin headed my way. Should be here tomorrow.
For the wave part, what I’ve already understood and really am clearer and clearer on is my (HD correct) dance I seem to do with the Amazon cart.
I basically investigate (1st line) until there’s wave clarity, dropping things into my cart, sending them to save for later until that emotional clarity happens, revisiting and moving them around.
Eventually, when/if something gets ordered … it still has to pass the ‘Taste’ test once it gets here and my 3rd line has no qualms about returning things if “they don’t work/present” as expected. I’ve been known to send things back (for a different version) 3 or 4 times if they’re not as anticipated once they’re in front of me.
In the end, the one that decided the direction this time, tipped the scales because of the color and the shape. It happens to be less expensive than some of the others, but that wasn’t the point, I just didn’t find the ‘Andrea’ one in the more expensive ones. IE. if this had been the more expensive one, it still would have been the one.
But then once I’d chosen it, I did see there was a refurbished one that was cheaper and wasn’t against ordering that one (with a 2 year warranty added on). I’ve had great luck with that sort of thing from Amazon. It’s usually about missing packaging.
(Although there was pretty banged up microwave that arrived a few months back - they took it back no questions)
The style Vanessa has was somewhat tempting thanks to the many swappable watchband options, but on closer inspection of the details, most of the bands are too big for me. I assume it needs to fit in a way that holds the unit to the skin … fingers crossed the regular band on the one I went with has enough “buckle holes” to do what it needs to do.
I can totally see me having a second one if it turns out to be more than a curiosity about this ‘body battery’ thingy :)
We shall see.
Edit to add a picture - as I was typing this I was also being rushed out the door to take Morgan to go work for the day (she’s a 4/6 emo Gen - some occasional work with a friend’s mother on her food truck found her while she’s home from college for the summer 🤷🏻♀️🤗)
