Funny side discovery from the river camping trip last weekend (how is it already Saturday again?? š)
Thereās atleast one other story from the river camping trip that I may get around to sharing - itās about being offended, or not - around strength.
Maybe thatās enough of a teaser for you and a reminder for me to recall it whenever the moment it gets pulled out arrives. š¤š¤·š»āāļø
But right now, I thought Iād share this random side thing that happened while I was there and then carried over to after we were home.
Itās about potato chips.
You may recall, or maybe youāre hearing this for the first time - my PHS Determination/digestion keynote is Taste.
The way that plays out for me irl is - food has to taste amazing (or itās for someone else or goes in the trash). This extends to brands (or chefs) in the case of prepared food.
And itās food thatās seasonal. Both literally as in the āgathererā who eats local food and with the harvests AND when it comes to snack foods, for example ā¦ these go in cycles too. And then once the course has run, itās over for maybe a long time.
The example Iām sharing with you is both about correct (for me) taste AND brand hopping ā¦
So hereās what happened.
For months, maybe even a couple of years Iāve had this seasonal on again off again cycle going with Lays BBQ potato chips.
And not even every bag has been correct. Sometimes theyāre coated just right, and sometimes theyāre not.
Yes, (Color 2) Taste is that discerning.
As little kids, and even as an adult, Iām pretty sure every Taste person has been conditioned with the admonition that theyāre overly picky.
No, weāre built for discernment.
Anyway, back to my story.
Just a county over, they sell Utz Honey BBQ potato chips - everywhere - so I bumped into them.
Maybe they were on BOGO sale or somethingā¦ I forget. I wasnāt shopping for chips; it was during the camp food run.
Morgan (middle daughter who rode with us) and I both have 19/49 defined ā¦ we were resource gathering for the tribe so our āfridge would be fullā.
Well, turns out I LOVE those Utz chips!
Got home though ā¦ canāt find them. Checked 5 different stores before I had this wild hair idea to check Amazon.
Yes. For chips. šš¤
Well, there they were.
And even better, they were there as a case of snack bags ā 42 for $22
[John saw me carrying the brand labeled box they came in across the backyard to my studio/bedroom, āhey whatcha got in the box?ā ā¦ me, āwhatās it say I have in the box?ā, John, āno you didnāt šā
Umm yah, yah I did. š¤]
Anyway, in case you havenāt invested in chips lately (theyāve gotten stupid expensive), thatās like 1/3 of the price - because volume I suppose. #win
But even better than that - apparently, for me, whatās āenoughā when it comes to chips is about āthe bag is emptyā š
and not about the size of the bag at all.
So having these single serving bags and having them being āenoughā as Iām getting to watch, is actually perfect.
Plus, I wonāt have to be heading out to āgatherā chips again any time soon š
Lots of wins šš„°
Human Design is funny. Good to be able to watch š„³
