Insects. Now. 😆
“So many voices have tried to express the existential, the value of the existential .
Baba Ram Das “Be Here Now.”
See I can’t stand generalizations.
If you are an emotional being you are not here to live in the now you are here to live in your wave.
If you are a collective person and you are logical you are not here to live in the now. You are here to look into the future.
If you are abstract you are here to think about the past.
I mean there are very few human beings that are here to be existential very few. And yet as we all know the joke life happens in the now.
The movie is happening in the now [hence the value of 🍿 😅]
And the thing that is so interesting about the impact of insects is that they bring the intensity of the now into our lives and lay the foundation of the existential truth of this planet.
They are not emotional. No wave for these babies.
This is all about it is right here and right now and in order for the species to survive they can’t be thinking about yesterday or tomorrow.
That that species has to be operating in the now in order to maintain its existence. They are deeply existential.
It’s the joke about people trying to meditate in places where there are flies. There you are drifting off and vvvzzzz…and then you try to be cool and let them walk on your face right? I mean they bring the intensity of the moment. They just do. I mean they are the only creatures that are truly existential . I should send them to Baba Ram Dass. Great disciples “zzzz…we are right here with you.”
It’s one of the dilemmas for humans - its one of the dilemmas of generalization - is that you get philosophical bamaz [?] that people throw out as universal laws.
Not everybody is here to live in the now.
And it’s the most incredible thing to me about insects because, in fact I think that the thing that bothers us is that they are superior to us, and they are not fucked up which is a huge advantage to begin with I mean they are a little regimented for our taste but they are a self-fulfilled collective consciousness in the now. Sounds like f…..g Buddha. You know?
That’s probably the best description of it. This pulsing collective existential beautiful behavior. Perfect in the moment. Insects are great."
