Mark Germain on Variables - nothing is in a vacuum.
I've pulled this from my earlier AARQ post because I think it deserves own place to refer back to.
He's essentially describing where my Variables Game Board analogy takes people. Did I share that in here yet?
It's how I framed the beginner class that I started in January (it's feeling like another round of that could be due, but we shall see whether there's interest :)
Mark writes -
“Cognition” in terms of Design Sun/Earth Tone… is about the Brain… its nourishment … feed the brain correctly helps the body as well….
If you are active there [top red arrow points Left], you need to be stimulated… the brain likes to be active… I have a Left Brain [active], Right Environment [passive]….
I need stimulation but when relaxed I take it in, in a deeper way, a correct way… if I am too active, the ability to see things correctly will not be there… not really, some version of it, but not “it”…
To add: The Four Transformations is all about orientation, one’s unique cognitive structure and capacity to conceptualize as Self.
Determination, Environment, Perspective, Motivation are four parts to the whole of Cognition.
Determination, one’s dietary regimen, along with Environment, one’s location that feeds the body, and it starts the stage setting from which our perspective can be gleaned correctly…
The proper environment, how we engage in that environment, passively or actively, will align one to have the opportunity to perceive correctly. So they all work together.
Nothing is in isolation…
Here’s a chart explaining this connection of these four variables - one’s cognitive structure.
This is my [Mark's] design that is used.
PS. he uses a different style chart than I do, but it could be an interesting exercise to insert our own gates into this template eh?
