Here you will see that Ra is making reference to creativity - particularly in relationship to Individual circuitry (which carries melancholy and is a portal for a certain type of creativity) …
Thing is, there are several “creative channels”, not all in the individual circuit and solo Individual circuit gates are what are referred to as ”The Gates of Melancholy”
But it seems important to point out maybe, that not all creativity is born/has to be born in melancholy.
Sometimes yes, but not in all cases.
For example, I think most would say I’m “creative” … and yet I don’t have any Individual channels.
My creativity IS more like what he describes at the beginning - the same thing over and over - in a way.
Things that already are, with my own spin, after a lot of practice.
It’s okay.
It’s still unique and correct for my expression.
I’m well familiar with the pressure to “be unique” in the art space; it’s perceived as highly valued and often strived for as a sort of holy grail …
And it’s an incorrect pressure for non-individually defined people. Because it’s not how we’re wired.
In fact, would say that maybe zero of my ‘creativity’ comes from any sort of melancholy… yeah I can’t think of any honestly.
So maybe realize that there’s more to potential creativity than this passage that’s been singled out is speaking to.
Now we can hear from Ra -
“We are misled by what is called creativity on this plane. Truly we are.
Most of it is just the same things rehashed over and over and over again.
It is rare to really see a unique spirit in expression. That the moment that there is a mutation it becomes a trend, it becomes copied and followed.
The trend will go through its full dynamic until there is another mutation and again away it goes.
But you have to understand what kind of a pressure it is to be an individual, to live your individuality.
This is what it is to be creative.
And this chemistry that you know, this chemistry of melancholy, it’s not going to go away. It becomes your ally.
As a matter of fact, you wait for it, because it's so rich with the possibility of what is you.
You cannot do this if your mind is involved. You can’t.
It’s what every artist learns in their process that deep, deep within them, the thing that frightens them the most is that they know that they're helpless.
They know that.
Oh, they know that— the hand that moves the brush; the vehicle, just formulas, frequencies vibrating in time.
The vanity of a passenger to think it knows what it's doing or understands or is in charge or can be ever.
It's this mind, after all."
