Q: Can a Projector (or any non-sacral HD Type) run a solo business successfully?
That’s the gist of a question that popped up in the Human Design Projectors group the other day.
Lots of opinions, some heated, some uninformed, some generic blah blah - prolly some useful stuff too - came next.
In the middle, Koen dropped a nugget that stood out for me; here’s what he had to say - and below that is my own lightbulb.
[Oh wait, that was a completely different post lol ...oops sorry 😁
This is from the one where someone asked “should a projector hire a projector business coach”?]
Duh, the rest is right, just the title isn’t the right one... onward we go 🤗
Anyway,
Clarity of my own like this is my unexpected reward for cruising through the HD forums (mostly the Projector specific ones), waiting for interesting this or that to possibly call whatever out of my Right Mind and/or give this Open G of mine some kind of direction.
Never know what might pop up :)

“if you want to live correctly as yourself, you may look for a HD coach/mentor, projectors can be great guides for this... Business or not, who knows what will happen? It may flow, it may disappear, it may change... The focus becomes you.
On the other hand, if you want to continue as you are and want to improve your business instead... get a generator to show you how to do the work. The focus is the business.
Obviously... there can only be 1 focus...”
To which I replied:
“I just had a sort of lightbulb I think 🤔 you just described what I experience.
People come to me - often - for thoughts around how to do (or not do) business.
And what they get is referrals to the generators and permission to be themselves.
Business is (again - often, but not always anymore) the gateway conversation (drug? Lol) to guidance (in my case it’s all about tweaking assumptions, perspectives, noticing the stories running the show) that’s ultimately pointing them towards BEing themselves.
Thanks 😊”
Which brings me to another thing -
I’m kicking around the idea of having two more longer-term “Pop in On a Whim” style, guided peeps.
They aren’t “cheap” but for the value that the right people get from the closer connection, they’re decidedly worth it.
Value, however, is always in the eye of the beholder.
It also can’t be guessed at ahead of time, especially when my Unexpected Cross is in the mix.
It’s not unusual for me to have to pause - mid-sentence even - so I can watch for whatever it is that is actively ’landing and processing’ for the person I’m talking to.
That value piece though.
Darn Ego/Heart/Will center. It tells us all kinds of tales.
Defined and Undefined alike.
Something I was reminded of as I was in a PM though -
We very absolutely cannot second guess what value another person might take away.
It always surprises me anyway. 😄
