Gate 43 - one of the Gates of Fear
As a reminder, I have 2x Gate 43 activations.
[my chart is attached for reference]
I’m pretty sure, along with my 17/62 (opinions/details) as well as an undefined ego which is ‘control’ flavored by Gate 21 when defined from the outside … that I have been a fairly prolific “I know-er” across my lifetime 😜
I also (always always - no choice) think this and that, I clearly have opinions that can be outer authority appreciated (or not 😅)
The difference now, after a decade+ of Human Design dive, seems to be - I know I really don’t “know” much.
I can see how this is perhaps extra supported by my Possibility view (part of Outer Authority), which has of course been honed over these years of HD experimenting.
“Knowing” something absolutely leans into the Probability zone - the distraction to possibility - ie. mostly not my thing to be thinking about (open head).
There’s also a gate on my defined Ajna (I think it’s one of my 47s - 47.5 maybe 🤔) that basically can “see both sides” and not reject the “other one”; another ‘correct’ way of being for me that leans away from “knowing”.
And there’s certainly nothing that needs proving (back to undefined ego awareness eh?)
Anyway, all that say/point out that there’s all manner of ways to get caught up in contention with others when unaware.
Maybe especially in these political/culturally (systems-coming-apart) chaotic times…. (though the not-self mind seems to be able to make drama even in moments of relative calm, safety and peace… it’s what it does. 🤓)
Being able watch this movie, popcorn in hand - is the gift that’s offered with Human Design awareness.
Pretty cool imho.
Here’s some extra in case you’re needing it lately 🍿🍿🍿
I know I have been.
Maybe it’s time for a Planet Andrea zoom 🤔🤷🏻♀️

Gate 43
"The 43, the fear is the fear of rejection. I know—no you don’t. It is the fear of rejection.
And yet, individuals who by their very nature are designed not to be influenced [Gate 43 one of the 3 gates of deafness] have no guarantee that their “I know” has the potential to be collective.
In other words, that it is a truly mutative knowing, and that for most individuals who have the capacity to express “I know” most of the time that “I know” may be very empty of true knowing.
In other words, there is this fear of the rejection of the knowing and one has to deal with that from the point of view of mind.
Here is a concept that it does not move, it is a knowing that has no place to go. But it is one thing to grasp that as an intellectual thing cut off from anything else; it’s another thing to see what happens to that fear in someone who is not-self.
The fact is that the individual in their knowing is helpless. It doesn’t mean that it makes it right, but still they are helpless.
It takes quite something to go through the process of accepting that it may not be true or right or correct.
But in the not-self that simply becomes a determination to simply keep on keeping on, insisting—the voice of the 23, insist, desist.
Because it takes action, and why does it take action, because it has open centers.
Let’s say it has an open Spleen. It means it holds on to things that aren’t good for it, so it’s going to hold on to a knowing despite its fear of rejection and it will lash out at rejection - in action.
So we have people that can’t handle rejection.
So we have a world that reacts to rejection, we have a world that reacts to challenge.
These are conceptual.
They’re about Outer Authority.
They’re about the cognitive potential that’s in an individual to be able to express concepts that can be a value to the other."
