Inner Authority - is that your final answer?
Maybe you will have already seen this post from Vanessa in her ‘Art of Being YOU’ group ❤️
Is your Inner Authority your final answer?
Well, really it is. 🤔 I guess a better question might be - do you listen to it 🙃
For me, my Emotional Authority comes down to - if I’m unsure, waiting longer to give any answer is the way through.
If I’m over excited - for me that’s always been such a rare thing and if it’s there it has tended to be something that becomes willful energy draining, like pushing a boat upstream to make the thing happen. Does bitterness result? Mmmnn probably more likely just exhaustion. Unless I have expectations of others and then yeah bitterness would be part of the scene too.
If I’m feeling negatively about a thing, I also am wiser to wait. I don’t know a darn thing about how I’m going to feel tomorrow.
If I’m a hmm, I don’t care either way … and someone else has big plans (thinking about the wedding as an example here - she did give herself and the rest of us 10mins to process) that I’m part of their story for - I’m usually a yes for that. There does seem to be an element of “must be present to be part of the story” something that moves me fairly easily. And usually isn’t a drain so long as I don’t volunteer for anything (which I used to). However, the crowd involved has to be my people.
I’m also not able to discern who in a crowd might be my people WHILE they’re in the group. Even my own family begins to feel weird to me inside the group.
BUT if I’ve made my decision to be there correctly, followed my Inner Authority… then whatever happens on that next leg of the adventure is correct.
I think maybe the most useful question for me - and I believe this is true for Projectors in general - is “do I really have energy for that?”
That can be a very easy question to answer.
Any kind of energy. Physical energy, mental energy, emotional energy … they all get veto power 😅
And for many many decisions, that’s enough.

If there is one thing I love to chat about for hours it's the topic of our Inner Guidance System.
There are 2 things I'll claim to know about this decision making process:
1. Everyone has it.
2. Every adult has already experienced it.
When I used to give talks on this system, I called The Whisper, I didn't talk so much about what it is, but rather how one already experienced it. There was never anyone, after sitting with their experiences, who claimed to not have a personal recognition of this sensory bodily felt system.
It was always delightful to watch the expressions of recognition light up faces.
You don't have to know the Human Design System to have an intimate experience with your guidance system. Yet, Human Design does the absolute best job of describing this authority through the specific way in how we are designed and the way this navigation system works in you.
Do you recognize your "whisper" of authority?

Inner Authority
“I don't want anyone who is involved in this process to feel less love for themselves because they're not doing this or that or the other thing; it's nonsense. You do what you do according to your inner authority. You do it or not according to your inner authority. If your inner authority says, "I don't want to pay attention to any of this," it's ok. It's what your inner authority is telling you. It's not about anybody has the right to say to you, are you sure? Oh we forget; inner authority, everybody has their inner authority.
What you will do in this life is there to be determined by that inner authority.
Do not for a moment take what I teach you as a pressure that you do this. I don't care. I have never cared. I can't. It would drive me crazy if I had to care about all of you. It's not about that; it's your trip. And it's the thing that we have to see about the integrity of your trip. It doesn't matter whether you go this way or that way in Human Design. It only matters how you go. If you go according to your inner authority, you go with what is correct for you.
Every single one of us has an authority inside of us that will tell us honestly what we can and cannot do at any given time. Trust it.
We can teach all of these things. They're wonderful, they're interesting, they're all that stuff, but Strategy and Authority, I don't care how smart you are in Human Design, Strategy and Authority is what it's all about. That's the only thing that brings you to that place where you can trust yourself, where you can love yourself and you can watch the movie."
