Here is an excerpt from a PHS Reading where I analyze the Gates/Lines of the Design Nodes (the physical environment) of a chart.

(PHS Readings also go into the Color/Tone, but this excerpt is just looking at the Gates/Lines:

•DESIGN NODAL GATES:

The North and South Node are a two-way street, so the energy of the South Node is always there as familiar territory, and the North Node is always there as new uncomfortable territory ~ the environment where development leads.

“The key to understanding the Nodal environment is recognizing that this is where you belong.  It’s where you should be.  It’s what’s supposed to be there all around you in your life.  And if you see it all around you in your life and you’re operating correctly as yourself, then you’re on the right stage to reach the fulfillment of your purpose.” -Ra

Looking at the Design Nodal Gates (the physical environment):

•D-South Node: Gate 26: Aggressiveness
•D-North Node: Gate 45: Materialism

•Your Design South Node in Gate 26:

Your Nodal path will shift from South to North in August of 2027 (around age 44)).

Starting with the Design South Node in Gate 26...

In your early life (up until age 44ish)... you are here to be surrounded by themes of ego, salesmanship, persuasion, manipulation, tactic, propaganda, coercion, even aggressiveness... there is material pressure in the environment, pressure to achieve, to sell, to be successful, to be the best, and to be worthy.

•More specifically though, Gate 26 in Line 6 - "Authority" - "Authority through the correctness of actions."

This is what the environment demands: "The natural embodiment of reason and strength of purpose that serves the community and secures the right to influence."

(So you are going to be sensitive to those who have secured the right to influence! (And those who haven’t). You are going to be attuned to the "role models" and the "authentic examples" (as well as the hypocrites) when it comes to persuasion, salesmanship, tactic, propaganda, etc....

You are going to be attuned to those who establish authority through the correctness of their actions (and those who don’t).

Ultimately Gate 26 in the 6th Line only wants to "sell" and "persuade" if it's truly going to be of deeper value for the tribe.

After age 30, there may be a "resigned-ness" from aggressive salesmanship in the 26.6 environment. ((or not.) You'll be attuned to the authentic examples, the "trustworthy" salesmen, those who are legitimate and correct... but also attuned to the hypocrites and those who are untrustworthy, aggressive or coercive salesmen.)

The shadow in 26.6 is "the ego-strength that demands authority, but cannot necessarily embody it. The monarch whose influence is waning."

So this kind of demand and waning-influence will be in the environment as well.

In the first 30 years of your life, there will be a lot of trial and error in your environment when it comes to the development of sales techniques, and when it comes to people trying to figure out the right time and place to use their ego, in order to be legitimate, to gain respect, to benefit the community, and to become an authority.

You will be surrounded by those who try to assert their ego and control others early in life... and those who later give up and go and "sit on the cosmic fence" and they "watch the movie", waiting for that possibility that "perhaps there is a right place and that there is a right time to fulfill the potential of the tribe." So there can be an aloofness, an objectivity, and a "why bother" attitude in the environment, between age 30 and 50.

The 26.6 after age 30 says, "Why should I use my ego power to sell soap when it is not going to be productive and be of value to the community?"

And then after age 50? The environment holds the potential for "the embodiment of reason and purpose that passes the test of time." (The ego has to be consistent; what it produces has to be of value. In the end, the ego is there to make sure that the tribe is healthy, that the tribe has enough to eat, that the tribe has shelter and all the other things that are part of the ego's responsibility in the tribal structure.)

After age 50 you are attuned to the wise and trusted role models when it comes to salesmanship for the benefit of the tribe. You are attuned to those egos who are justified in their influence, because their actions have stood the test of time.

Your body is attuned to "who is trying to coerce or change the way in which the community sees itself?" "Who is bringing influence, propaganda and salesmanship?" "Who is aggressively asserting their ego or influence?" "Who is a trustworthy influence?" "Who is not?" "Who is justified in their influence, because their actions have stood the test of time?"

You are sensitive to these themes in your environment, especially in the first 44ish years of your life (up until the Uranus Opposition, August 2027).

•Your Design North Node in Gate 45:

Moving into the North Node in Gate 45 (August 2027 and beyond)…

...you will shift into an environment more surrounded by themes of Materialism ("who are the haves and who are the have-nots?" )

This is an environment where there is a beneficial attraction of like forces. There is pressure to conform in order to receive the material benefits.

There is the question of who possesses what, and the tensions in terms of that environment over the basic materials necessary in life.

•More specifically, Gate 45 in Line 6 - "Reconsideration" (aka "Integrating" ) - "To include outsiders into the material process."

This is what the environment demands - "The ability to include outsiders into the material process, recognizing they could be a valuable addition."

The shadow here is - "To accept outsiders into the material process under the condition that they adapt themselves, as a result of which their enriching contributions will be lost."

On one side: "Let's just bring the outsiders in."  (A material direction which serves the outsider.)

On the other side: "Once we have them in, let's control them so that the rest of the tribe is happy."  (A material direction that is focused on conditioning the outsider to conform.)

So these are themes that will be prevalent in the later-in-life environment (after the Uranus Opposition, August 2027 and beyond).

"You have all kinds of rulers in history. (Catherine the Great, who brought all the French philosophers into the court.) They brought the outsiders in to try to bring about a broader mutation in the tribe, so that the tribe would grow and become healthier, thus bringing a benefit from the outside.  New genes, new blood, new ideas and new concepts.  All of that is a threat to the tribe because the tribe likes its traditions.  It does not expect its leaders to be heretics, but the reality is that their leader can turn around on them and say, "Yes, but I want to bring in all these foreign people because I think that this will be beneficial to our society." 

There can be backlash in that.  There can be demand for conformity here.  

"Okay, you are a stranger.  You have come here and you have fallen in love with my daughter, and you do not come from the same tribe as me.  I don't mind that you are here.  You can be my son, but you have to behave like we behave here in this village.  Bring your blood, but I am going to control you and make sure that you look like everybody else in the tribe, so that nobody gets upset and bothers my poor daughter because she has married this freak, this outsider."  This is the sixth line saying, "Okay, you can come in as a stranger, but I will control you." 

So both sides of the coin will be here in your environment, later in life.

Your body will be attuned to "Who is materialistic?"  "Who is governing the material direction?"  "Who are the haves and who are the have-nots?" "Who is integrating outsider mentality?" "Who is changing traditions?" "Who is serving the outsider in the hopes of expanding the material process?" "Who is being brought into the fold?" "Who is causing backlash?" "Who is bringing enriching contributions from the outside?" "Who is a valuable addition?" "Who is being conditioned to adapt?" "Who is being pressured to conform, in order to be included?"

So later in life (after your Uranus Opposition, age 44ish and beyond), you will be surrounded by and more sensitive these themes in your environment.

So in your early life you are attune to trustworthiness (and the lack of trustworthiness!) in your environment when it comes to salesmanship and persuasion (26.6),

and (later in life) you are attuned to an environment where outsiders are integrated into the material process (and potentially pressured to conform!) (45.6)

These are the themes that you are here to be physically surrounded by and attuned to in your physical environment.  These are the themes that ”set the stage” in order for you to fulfill your unique purpose.
