Just posted this on FB … have some HD observations too I think … maybe.
Starting with a correct invitation from John to go in the first place.
He was so sweetly appreciative that I went 🥰
And us following his sacral authority to not go Saturday like we’d planned - Sunday was perfect … for lots of reasons.
Not the least of which, @leed and Austin (her bf) were able to go too (and drive us all in his new truck), which we only found out on Saturday- because we were still home and were able to go help fix Aleda’s flat tire.
For me…
Taking something to “do” while the Generators were ‘doing their doing’ (tubing and drinking mostly 😋), was so smart, is one key takeaway.
It let me be there, but still not be in the thick of it. Had that table between me and everyone, had little side convos with a few people, they came to me.
We talked about the paint of course.
I didn’t talk to (almost) anyone unless they started the conversation, which was awesome.
Other people did all the food and I just got to eat the deliciousness.
Haven’t fully reflected on it all really. Imagine there’s more. Maybe I’ll get to know these people’s Designs and be able to watch even closer.
It was quite a decent bunch of peeps seemed like :)
Here’s the post -
Have paint, can travel 😊
We were invited to go to friends new house by a tubing river over the weekend.
And I decided to take paint with so I could make them a housewarming present.
It was all pretty portable, but a bigger table would be better. Did get a bit crowded 🙃
Forgot to take progress pictures again, but here’s -
-
Pic 1 - right at the start

Pic 2 - as far as I got on day 1

Pic 3 - after finishing it at home this morning
Wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get it to a point I really dug it
(which seems to be a recurring theme - gate 36 & 48 inadequacy thing mebbe)
But with some wrestling, a little cursing 😅 and a whole lot of just wouldn’t quit…
Ta da!
It worked out 🤗
