Appreciating off-season tomatoes š„°
Thereās a bit more to this story that maybe Iāll add in as a comment. Itās a little more personal and not entirely mine to tell, so ā¦
Just posted this to FB, am not gonna edit it to fit here better - I think thatās fine š¤·š»āāļø

We have these two bedraggled tomato plants that just keep putting out. š„°
Iāve restarted a calorie budgeting + Taste PHS adventure thatās loosely about becoming more shaped like my pre-pregnancy #2 self was.
That kid is about to be 20 š
Prior to pregnancy #1, I was probably somewhat underweight and life post #3 (heās 15 now) has shown me the other side of that coin for long enough šš
Enough is enough. ā¤ļø
So last year starting in April or so, I said goodbye to about 30% of the weight I would like to peel off and then I took a break. Regained a bit and now find the interest to continue - the body is ready.
Iām thinking this might lend itself to content that can land in my Localās community - thisāll be the first post I suppose.
In case youāre unfamiliar with Locals, itās a community of communities - a subscriber supported content model.
Been over there about 15 months, getting used to the format, seeing what I have energy for and what I donāt, but FB is an insanely difficult habit to break.
I still seem to write here first š¤·š»āāļø
Conversation container is over there though. And much of it is available to read as a free community member.
Anyway, didnāt actually mean to have this post be sharing about that.
The unexpected garden ripe tomato is what started the ball rolling.
It called for a sandwich (personally love sandwiches) and turned what was a 405 calorie meal a couple days ago into a 248 calorie meal (ditched 1/2 the bun and added the tomatoes)
And it was way way tastier.
