I love tracing back how I came to be reading this or that… so maybe bear with me here for a sec 🙃
Today, Amanda Leek (whom Pascale Recher introduced me to), shared that Tereza Szalai wrote (on FB):
“This blog about sleep procrastination written by Duncan Price is amazing!
If you are in bed right now scrolling here, read it 😂
https://mindaffinity.co.uk/how-to-overcome-sleep-procrastination
And Duncan's webinar on sleep is coming on the 16th.
It's the number one healthy habit I always talk about so I am looking forward to learn some new things 😍”
Needless to say, I clicked the link and skimmed through.
Sleeping is actually something I have zero resistance around - particularly ever since bumping into this 2012 article about “2 sleep nights” several years ago:
“The Myth of the 8 Hour Sleep”
https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-16964783
For me this is an interesting topic because of how disruptive or beneficial sleep can be when seen through one sort of conditioning or another.
Maybe it’s second only to food in its “from the moment of birth” conditioning potential.
And plus my 27.1 P Sun is all about caring/nurturing (the world around us) via “selfish” self-care.
So really I’m all about understanding what holds people back, “what’s not working” in directions like these and reframing so the madness of not enough rest (particularly for non-sacral folks) can be stopped 😌😊
If you’re a sacral being, you’re meant to go to bed fully spent, battery drained - so you’re waking up to a “fresh and full charge on your internal battery” (my words :) )
If you’re a non-sacral being resting enough is imperative. Like health-wise; sometimes life and death level important… or at least life and health important.
Either way - there’s so many “things that can go wrong” as the blog post lists out.
Which my 3rd line (it’s about trial and error eh?) can enjoy.
I don’t relate to them all.
Curious which one, if any, jumps out for you.? 🤔
